Course Coverage: This certificate covers one student’s full enrollment in CJPTC’s NYS 18-Hour Pistol Permit Course, including the required training resources described above. It is redeemable exclusively for this course and cannot be applied toward other courses, merchandise, or services. No additional tuition is required for the enrollment covered by the certificate.

No Expiration: Unused gift certificates do not expire. No activation, maintenance, or inactivity fees apply.

Single Use: Each certificate is redeemable once for one student’s course enrollment. The certificate is considered redeemed when the student begins instruction. It cannot be divided among students or reused for a subsequent enrollment.

​

30-Day Completion Requirement: All required course components must be successfully completed within 30 calendar days of the student’s first day of instruction. A student who does not successfully complete the course within that period must re-enroll at the regular course fee in effect at the time of re-enrollment. The redeemed gift certificate cannot be reused or applied toward that fee. If completion is delayed by a cancellation or scheduling change by CJPTC, the completion deadline will be extended accordingly.

Registration and Eligibility: Enrollment is subject to available class dates, available seats, and applicable legal eligibility requirements. Students must provide required identification and comply with instructor directions, range rules, and all safety requirements.

Successful Completion Required: Attendance alone does not guarantee successful course completion. Students must meet all applicable attendance, written assessment, safe handling, and live-fire qualification requirements to receive course completion documentation.

Pistol License Application: Course completion does not guarantee issuance of a pistol license. Licensing decisions are made by the appropriate licensing authority. Pistol license application fees and other government charges are not included.

Cash Redemption: Certificates are not redeemable for cash except as required by law.

​

Certificate Assistance: Keep your purchase confirmation and certificate information. Contact CJPTC before attending if a certificate is lost or cannot be located; proof of purchase will be required for verification.

Gift Certificate Return Policy

 

All sales of CJPTC gift certificates purchased online or in person for the NYS 18-Hour Pistol Permit Course are final. Gift certificates may not be returned or refunded and must be redeemed in accordance with the terms and conditions disclosed at purchase, except as required by law.

​

Unused gift certificates do not expire. Each certificate is valid for one student’s enrollment and a single redemption. Once instruction begins, all required course components must be successfully completed within 30 calendar days. Failure to complete the course within that period requires re-enrollment at the regular course fee then in effect. The redeemed certificate cannot be reused or applied toward re-enrollment.
